We have 3 levels: Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced. You will be placed according to your abilities, which are determined by an initial placement test. Standard courses have 4 hours of classes a day, Monday to Friday, and last 2 weeks. You have the option to extend your course on a weekly basis. In addition to the textbooks developed specifically for these courses, you will study with audio cassettes, video, and other materials relevant to the culture, geography, current affairs and politics of Latin America. At the end of the Beginner course you will be able to use Spanish in a variety of everyday situations to: carry out banking transactions; go shopping; eat in restaurants; ask for and give directions; make introductions and ask questions for personal information. You will have a solid grammatical base to handle verbs in the Present and Simple Past tenses and a good basic vocabulary.
At the end of the Intermediate course you will be able to: make comparisons of people, things and places; make hotel reservations and book tickets for flights and theatres; express opinions with confidence and understand the majority of day-to-day speech and text; conjugate verbs in the Future tense and various forms of Past tenses. By completing the Advanced course you will be able to communicate with absolute confidence in giving instructions and expressing wishes, feelings and opinions. You will handle the Subjunctive appropriately as well as the three types of Conditionals, the Progressive and Passive forms of verbs. You will have a rich vocabulary and be familiar with idiomatic expressions. See Schedules and Prices for further information. |
