In response to a request from both the public and private sectors, foreign embassies, and multinational companies operating in Costa Rica, this examination was specially developed by Instituto Britanico as a professional assessment of a candidate's level in English. The examination has four sections (Listening Comprehension, Reading Comprehension, Composition and Interview) and lasts approximately two hours. It is available at Instituto Britanico twice each month (the first and third Friday morning), or by prior individual arrangement. Results are available two days after the exam.
